We’re not trying to make light of the situation, we’re just pointing out the facts, and according to reports, Summer Phoenix filed for divorce on Monday July 31st. TMZ claims that the documents actually list the date of separation as November 2015, even though they didn’t announce their split till March 2016. Back then a rep for the Oscar Winner told Us Weekly that Casey and Summer have amicably separated but they remain very close friends. According to TMZ Summer is asking for spousal support and attorney fees. A lot was made of sexual harassment allegations in the runup to Casey’s win at the Academy Awards, when back in 2010, two women accused him of wrong doing when they worked with him on I’m Still Here. Stars like Brie Larson even refused to applaud for him during his Oscar win. Casey has yet to release a statement regarding his divorce.
