According to Page Six, Anne Hathaway is rumored to be in talks to replace Amy Schumer in the live-action film of Barbie. Schumer walked away from the project back in March, citing scheduling conflicts. Yeah, well it looks like Anne Hathaway could be replacing her. Amy walked away from the movie back in March citing scheduling conflicts, and before that, people were slamming Sony for casting the funny woman in the title role. But the movie centers around a character who lives in Barbieland and then gets kicked out for basically not being perfect enough. And with Anne in the rumored lead for the role, it sounds like the project is back underway. The film is expected to be rated PG and should be a broad family film with lessons about trying to adhere to the unattainable standard of perfection.
